February/March Challenge et al

So, Roger and I had a Paleo challenge with Jay and Tina for the month of February.  Simple - a point a day if one did not cheat.  The golden oldies beat the blues (we each took a color).  I was amazingly good - got all my points, Roger got all but one and the blue team cried the blues...altho their slips were due to much needed nights out sans baby.

So on to March -  A few things that, of course, my son got me into....

CrossFit Game Open - registered on-line, 5 workouts in 5 weeks.  So far, two down:

  • 12.1 was as many burpees as you could do in 7 minutes... I did 40; Jay did 81!!!
  • 12.2 was a snatch ladder which was:
    • As many reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
    • 30 Snatch (M 75 / F 45 lbs) - over age 55 the weight for women was 35lb
    • 30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs) - over 55 it went up to 55 lb
    • 30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs) - then 75lbs
    • Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs) - then 90 lbs
  • I did 39 and Jay did an amazing 69!!! which meant he was hefting 165 lbs overhead.
You can follow us on  www.CrossFit Games.com   - just type in our names.  I am the only Nancy Williams and Jay is the third Jason Williams.

March challenge:
  • 5 pts for paleo eating (max 30 points per week, or 6 days)
  • 3 points for working out (max 12 pts per week, or 4 days
  • 2 pts for 8 hours sleep (max 20 pts per week, or 5 days)

goes for 5 weeks, from the 5th to the 7th of April (when we get to London).

Why the heck not!!!!  Can't hurt.
